Quality Control Research
Veteran Garage Door D/FW is conducting quality control research and visual inspections of garage door panels within our service area. Over the last 5 years we have installed hundreds of garage doors, from different manufacturers, throughout our service area.
We are gathering information about garage door manufacturers and how they perform over a period of time. This information will help us in selecting manufacturers and providing the highest quality products to our customers. This information will help us determine how the garage doors withstand the day to day use they encounter.
The visual inspection is a very short process, taking 2-5 minutes at most.
Items being inspected:
-The manufacturer of the garage door.
-The panels, looking for creases,dents, cracks, splits and tears.
-The stiles, the stiles are structural supports for the panels. We will be checking for the stile separating from the panels or bends in the stiles.
The finish, we are looking for scratches, chips, flaking and fading or oxidizing of the paint or finish.
The visual quality control inspection is only for the garage door panels. We will not being inspecting the hardware (hinges and rollers), tracks, springs or openers as they are made by different manufacturers. This study focuses only on the garage door panels.
