Adjustments
To program the travel and force limits on Linear garage door openers you will need to locate the plastic
adjustment screws on the side or back of the opener motor.
Setting Open and Close Limits
1. Start with the garage door in the closed position. Make sure the trolley is attached to the garage
2. Using the wall button or handheld remote for this door, push the button to open the garage
3. Visually inspect the door once it reaches the fully open position.
4. If the door open position needs to be adjusted, use the adjustment screw marked for open
travel. Using a screw driver turn the adjustment screw clockwise for more open travel or
counterclockwise for less open travel. Adjustment should be made in quarter turn increments.
5. Push the wall button or use the remote to start closing the door. When the door moves about 2’
feet push the button again to stop the garage door.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 until the garage door open limit is adjusted to your desired open position.
Remember the garage door should not open further than the point that the bottom of the
garage door is level with the garage door opening header. If the garage door opens too far it can
damage the garage door and the opener.
7. Using the wall button or handheld remote, close the garage door.
8. Visually inspect the door once it reaches its fully closed position.
9. If the door closed position needs to be adjusted, use the adjustment screw marked for close
travel. Using a screw driver turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise for more down travel
and clockwise for less down travel. Adjustment should be made in quarter turn increments.
10. Push the wall button or use the remote to start opening the door. When the door moves about
2’ feet push the button again to stop the door.
11. Repeat steps 7-10 until the garage door closed limit is adjusted to your desired closed position.
Remember the door should close to the point that the weather seal is touching the floor, but
the opener rail should not be flexing or bending up toward the ceiling. If the garage door closes
too far it can damage the garage door and the opener.
1. Start with the garage door open.
2. Turn the open force limit adjustment screw one eighth of a turn increments counterclockwise
until the garage door stops and reverses during closing.
3. After the door stops and reverses during closing, using one eighth turn increments, turn the
open force limit adjusting screw clockwise until the door fully close without reversing.
4. With the garage door closed, turn the open force adjustment screw one eighth of a turn
increments counterclockwise until the door stops during open travel.
5. Turn the open force limit adjustment screw one eighth of a turn increments clockwise until the
garage door opens fully without stopping.
