Programming Instructions for Genie Universal Keypad Model GUK-R

Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Craftsman, Raynor,

Yellow Button 2011 – Current (Security+ 2.0)

Step 1 -> enter your personal PIN (3-8 digits)on the keypad.

Step 2 -> Press & release UP/DOWN key Button on Keypad (LED Light flashes slowly).

Step 3 -> Enter the ID#: 4 on the Keypad

Step 4 -> Press & release UP/DOWN key Button on Keypad (LED Light flashes rapidly)

Step 5 ->  Then press & hold down UP/DOWN key on Keypad.

Step 6 -> Release UP/DOWN key button after tone sounds (approximately 5 sec).

Step 7 -> On opener, press & release Learn Button (Light flashes)

Step 8 -> On Genie Universal keypad, press the UP/DOWN key for one time, then garage door opener will click / Light blinks.

Step 9 -> On opener, press & release Learn Button (Light flashes)

Step 10 -> On Genie Universal keypad, press the UP/DOWN key for one time, then garage door opener will click / Light blinks.

Step 11 -> On Genie keypad, press UP/DOWN key again one time. Opener will operate either go up or down.

Step 12 -> Before pressing on additional keypad button, wait until backlighting is out.  Programming is complete
